I sort of, kind of, like "You picked a Fine Time to Leave Me Loose Wheel" but I wouldn't place it among the top ten.

Ray Charles', "I can't stop loving you" isn't bad either.

Here's my rendition of an old favorite.

Some say it's me but actually it's Kenny Rogers. He copied my looks.

White some of you have chosen well, you've missed the mark.

Here's the greatest love song of the 20th C.

Nights in White Satin

according to mr manilow...here are the greatest love songs of all time

and neither first time nor white satin made it ... personally i think he made some dubious choices :fyi:

Love Is Here To Stay
The Look Of Love
Where Do I Begin? (Theme From Love Story)
I Only Have Eyes For You
I Can't Give You Anything But Love
The Twelfth of Never
We've Only Just Begun
Nevertheless
Love Me Tender
You Made Me Love You
It Could Happen To You
How Deep Is The Ocean?
When You Were Sixteen

What, no, "Mandy??"

While some of these songs are...acceptable, I wouldn't have chosen any of them.

I agree, Roberta Flack's, "The First Time," is one of the best love songs of the 20th century. I'll put it in my top five.

I have two favorites that tied for second, (to my way of thinking):
"Wonderful Tonight." Eric Clapton, and, "Lady." Lionel Richie.

"Feelings". OK, it's not a great song, but one night, when then bf & I were dancing to it, he proposed to me. That was almost 34 years ago, wedding, not proposal! So that's my favorite love song!

Peace,
Linda

How about Steve Miller band. The Steve Miller Band is an American rock band formed in 1967.

I don't know how I forgot this one. Clearly this is one of my favorite love songs. It isn't the best rendition of it but here it is:

Great songs all... hard to beat Unchained Melody...

But.. Can't Help Falling in Love (Elvis) comes close.

For those who want something a little different... Paul Brandt's song has touching lyrics.
